The SR-PMIC2 from Saramonic is a compact super cardioid condenser microphone. You place the SR-PMIC2 on the hotshoe of your camera, after which you put the 3.5mm plug in your camera. The SR-PMIC2 then ensures that you record the overall ambient noise in high quality. The supplied wind cover ensures that you can also make a silent recording outside. Besides a hotshoe connector, there is also a 1/4" female thread at the bottom. The sound is captured cardioid, which means that sounds are mainly recorded from the front and a large part of the sound from behind is blocked. This makes the SR-PMIC2 extremely suitable for voice and vocal recordings. The SR-PMIC2 is a stereo microphone which means that there are two microphones in it, so that when the recording is listened to via a stereo, the difference can be heard from both sides.
